About Our moose Hunts

Peak rut rifle (calling moose hunt)

Potential for a couple of wolf harvests in this zone as well as midday river fishing!

Our hunts run in a 7-day duration.

For 2024, we are running the season as follows:

October 1, 2023 - October 7, 2023

This includes transport to and from the airport, food and beverage, wall tent housing, shower & outhouse facilities, and trophy care (caping and skinning).

Our remote camp provides a true wilderness experience. Our camp consists of canvas wall tents, cots with thick foam, and wood stoves for heat. Excellent home-cooked meals and snacks are provided, as well as shower facilities with hot water!

The camp is powered by a generator which is highly valuable for recharging those video camera batteries. We like to keep our camp small and personalized to provide you with the attention and service you need to have a truly great hunting experience. A mobile phone is available in camp should any emergencies arise. There is decent cellphone coverage in our area, so you may bring your cell phone.

Quality photos will be taken of your trophy for your lasting memories. After photos, your moose will be skinned with care and placed in one of our freezers. You will be provided a leak-proof type container to transport your hide home with you in a frozen condition.

Expected moose size 30" to 40" bulls are common. If you are holding out for a 50" or larger, expect to potentially not tag out.

getting here

You should arrive in Edmonton, AB early, giving yourself lots of time just in case you forgot something and need to pick items up at a store. You will be picked up at Edmonton International Airport and will drive to Athabasca, AB, which is about a 2hr drive.

Once at camp, you’ll have time to settle into your tent and have a bite to eat. We will do a quick orientation and go over any questions or concerns. There are also targets at camp to make sure your weapons are sighted.
